Rapper, model, singer, performer, artist and… philanthropist? It seems Nicki Minaj is all about charitable work lately.
Minaj has been sending money to an undisclosed village in India, where upon receiving funds and charitable help, the village now has clean running water, a computer center, a tailoring institute and a reading program.
“We complain about the most ridiculous little things when some people don’t even have clean water. Blessings to India. Our work is far from done,” Nicki wrote in her Instagram caption.
Earlier this month, Minaj took to paying her fan’s student loans via Twitter, asking only for proof of straight A’s.
“I’m so proud of our sisters in India. God is so good. Their desire was to have water wells & places where they can worship, places where they can learn technology, computers, reading, etc. We’re just getting started. These women are us and we are them,” the singer added in a second photo, where a group of women were presented 2 new sewing machines.”
“Nicki thanks for helping 🙏 Indian girls really need to be educated and your helping those girls ❤ God bless you. I appreciate your work 👏👏😘,” added another ecstatic fan.
It appears this is far from the end of Minaj’s philanthropic work. The musician plans on opening up a charity dedicated to university students’ tuition.
“This makes me so happy. I’ll do another impromptu payment spree in a month or 2 but pls know that I’m launching my official charity for Student Loans/Tuition Payments VERY SOON! You’ll be able to officially sign up! I’ll keep you posted,” Wrote Minaj in another Instagram post, showing the thousands of dollars she’d relieved in loans.
